Jack Makes His Debut

We are having one of the driest Aprils ever. The ground is like concrete making it impossible to weed. The Jack Frost Brunnera doesn’t seem to mind. It has come up and is now flowering despite intense competition from weeds. Definitely worth every penny that I paid for it.

I have been having a tough time with the dry April, too. In trying to water some newly-planted shrubs, you can imagine my dismay when the water started to run off of the ground around them due to a very small incline. Sheesh! I hope we're getting this year's drought done early, and May brings us some better weather, gardening-wise.

By the way, Jack's a heart-stealer. :)

I have "Looking Glass" brunnera. Bought it on a whim and I am so glad I did. It's funny it's doing so well in the dryness - I was told they like it moist.
