Green Thumb Sunday

Join

Isn't this a great shot? The butterfly is actually on the flower but it appears that I caught it in flight. The swallowtails are easy to photograph because they are so tame. I can literally walk right up to them. The monarchs are much shyer.

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

What a great photo! You're right...before I read your description I thought you were photographing the butterfly in flight. I can't wait to see butterflies again!

I also thought it was in flight! That is an amazing picture.

I can never get good butterfly pictures because when I go grab the camera, my 9 year old daughter grabs her butterfly net. The butterfly learns really quick to get away from us!

I can hardly wait to chase butterflies again!

Colleen and Marc, I'm with you! I can't wait for butterflies. Marc, I never go out into my yard without my camera. I learned to do that the hard way by missing some really great shots.
