Homuncula, I'm in Zone 6A. My other iris finished weeks ago. I have no explanation for why this particular clump of iris blooms so much later.
Scbnymph, perennials usually bloom the second year so don't be disappointed if yours don't bloom this year. Some take even longer. I have some purple coneflowers that I grew from seed three years ago that are finally going to bloom. In their case, they have to reach a certain size before they will bloom.
Ok I cheated and bought my shasta daisy which was about 6" tall last year but I did make it grow bigger. Does that count?
