Lucky you on the moth mullein. I let the common ones grow even if they do produce a lot of seeds because the young plants aren't hard to get rid of and the birds love the seeds. Plus, they look nice in the winter.
My favorite volunteers have been a pompon-like annual poppy and an annual rudbeckia. Each of them started out with one plant each. Now I have a whole thick patch of poppies and I usually get about a dozen rudbeckias.
